1. Informational purpose only

The guides, articles and calculators on this Site provide general information about generators and electricity. They are not professional electrical, engineering or legal advice and are not a substitute for your equipment’s owner’s manual, local codes or a qualified professional who can assess your situation.

2. Safety disclaimer

  • Generators produce carbon monoxide, which can kill in minutes. Never run a generator indoors, in a garage, or near doors, windows or vents, and use battery-powered carbon monoxide alarms.
  • Never connect a generator to your home’s wiring by plugging it into an outlet (“backfeeding”). This can electrocute utility workers and neighbors and start fires. Use a transfer switch or interlock installed by a licensed electrician where required by law.
  • Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for fuel storage, refueling, grounding and maintenance.

3. Calculators and estimates

Our calculators use standard formulas and typical values. Results are estimates. Actual wattage, starting surge, fuel consumption and runtime depend on your specific equipment, load, altitude, temperature and maintenance. Always confirm with manufacturer specifications before buying equipment or making electrical decisions.

4. No warranty

We work to keep content accurate and up to date, but the Site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Generator Flow is not liable for any loss, damage or injury arising from your use of the Site or reliance on its content, including damage to equipment or property.

6. Intellectual property

All original text, graphics and tools on the Site are owned by Generator Flow and protected by copyright. You may share links to our pages and quote short excerpts with attribution. Republishing full articles or copying our calculators requires our written permission.

The Site displays advertising served by third parties, including Google. We do not endorse advertised products or services. Links to external websites are provided for convenience, and we are not responsible for their content.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to interfere with the Site’s operation, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or use automated tools to copy its content in bulk.
